Uniformed Scrub review and discount code! Because comfy scrubs are half the battle...

For nurse (and student nurses like myself), everything else you just take it as it comes. I know I've been slacking really bad on my posts lately. But for good reason! I became a nurse intern! So most of my free time when I'm not at school (which is basically 5 days a week with 12-hour-clinical-day) I am working as an intern at the ED! I know that in the beginning of starting school I was really not sure what part of nursing I wanted to venture into, but after being at the ED for a while, I can really see myself venturing out into Emergency nursing! The rush and adrenaline I get from each shift is wonderful and there's never a dull moment! But I'm gonna have a whole separate post on that later!

What I really want to talk about are these wonderful scrubs that Uniformed Scrubs sent me to review. Now, I've been sent items from companies in the past but sometimes the items I'm sent just aren't worth posting about. But the scrubs and also the customer service of this site is amazing! I know many people can be apprehensive about ordering scrubs online because the styles may be limited or they don't have your size. I know how this can be because X-Small sizes can be so hard to find! But this site carries all different sizes and all different styles! They also ship fast, carry all the brands that I love, and all at a discounted rate! So of course I'm going to have some great things to post about them! The scrubs they sent me are Dickies scrubs in an X-Small.

I know I posted quite a few photos of just one scrub top but it's because I want to show you guys the quality of these scrubs and how just having good detailed stitching can enhance a petite frame! Also, these scrubs have plenty of pockets! I even have a pocket on my left arm sleeve! If you guys are interested in the scrubs and also an other medical gear (they sell cute shoes too!) definitely check out Uniformed Scrubs! They gave me a coupon code to share with my wonderful readers! The code is "trueblue" for 15% off and is valid until August 31, 2013.

Nursing Student: Preparing for Fundamentals

Hey Everyone!

So I posted another video about me preparing for my Fundamentals course! As you can see, the quality of this video is a lot better cause I actually made time to record the video with my real camera and not my Mac. Hope you guys enjoy watching my videos! I really hope to continue making more videos to show other hopeful nursing students what it's like to be in the program from someone who is already going through it all! Any other nursing students out there that have any tips or questions about nursing school? Hope you all enjoy!

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well! I'm glad that I've been able to post a little more often from being on vacation from school! It's been great being able to sleep in and not have to worry about homework for a while but I'm excited to start this next semester! I start Fundamentals this coming semester which will be the start of clinicals! Of course, I've heard a lot about clinicals and how hectic it can be, especially when it comes to care plans... but I still can't wait for it all to begin! I can just imagine myself reading this at the end of this coming semester and saying to myself, "What is wrong with you?" HA! We'll see! 2012 has been an incredible year for me! So let me just break down the 12 favorites for me of 2012!

I Made a Youtube!

Hey everyone!

I know what you're thinking, two posts in one day? That's what happens when you have a break from school! Anyway, I just wanted to stop by and let you all know that I made a YouTube account where I plan on doing a lot of nursing videos. It's really just going to be a lot easier for me this way because making a video is going to be a better way to connect. I'll post the video below! I hope you guys enjoy it and let me know any videos about being a nursing student that you would like me to post. Again, this is my first video and I shot it with my Mac so it's not exactly the best, but I promise my next video will be better! :) Enjoy!

Two Eyeshadow Look Using Drugstore Products!

Hello everyone!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I will have a Christmas post following this one. But first, I wanted to share an awesome two-eyeshadow-combo that I love! It includes the Maybelline Bad to the Bronze eyeshadow and L'oreal's Amber Rush eyeshadow! Saw a look similar to this on Missglamorazzi's channel but her's included Stila's Kitten which I don't have. But even with just two shadows this is a great look!

Enjoy!

Makeup for School

Hello! Let me just saying that nursing school has taken over a lot of my time. Since I live kind of a distance away from my school I have to leave my house pretty early in order to get to class on time. Which means less less sleep for me. I've done a lot in order to gain as much sleep as possible as I can, putting my stuff I need for the next day in order, getting stuff for breakfast ready (since it's the only real meal I'll have other than LATE dinner when I get home) so that it takes less time to make, and even shortening my time in front of the mirror down to 15 minutes (including washing my face and brushing my teeth). If you've seen my past blog posts I have made a few blog post on doing makeup in a short amount of time, but back then I actually had more time than I thought I did and usually reserved those looks for days I just wanted to relax. Now, the makeup I'm getting ready to post right now has been my go to everyday look for literally EVERYDAY! Even when I have time... I think I've just been getting use to wearing less since being in the actual nursing portion of school. It's crazy what nursing school can do. I've actually even sorted out my makeup to the essentials that I use to make getting ready even easier. Hope you guys enjoy! ^-^

Products Used:
-Garnier BB cream
-elf Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder
-Laura Mercier Eye concealer
-Covergirl Under Eye concealer
-Essence eyeshadow in Cappuccino, Please!
-Neutrogena Healthy Skin Pressed Powder
-NYX White Eyeliner
-Shiseido Eyelash Curler
-Laura Mercier Cream Blush in Canyon
-NYX blush in Terra Cota

BEFORE:

AFTER:
Doesn't my face look so much brighter and healthier?

Moisturizing your eyes are really important. In fact, just moiturizing your entire face is really important!

I like BB Cream better because it's easy to blend and I don't have to use a blush. BB cream is also great as an all in one product!

The Laura Mercier eye canvas is probably the best base I've tried in a while!

The Essence eyshadow in Cappuccino, please! is a great eyshadow for highlighting under your brown and putting on the lids.

Because I use this product as a bronzer, I usually double this up as an eyeshadow for my crease because it's one less product to get out. However, I won't recommend someone to use a bronzer as an eyeshadow, this is just what I do.

If you ever get mascara on your lids, don't fret, just continue with the rest of your makeup and go back and clean it up with a Q-tip later after the mascara has dried! It's one of my favorite beauty tips!

And Voila! All done! Takes only about 10 minutes at the most and makes you look awake even if you've only had 3 hours of sleep!
